Load cells are transducers designed to convert force into an electrical signal.  The electrical signal (typically millivolts) can then be read by various electronics including digital weight indicators, signal transmitters, PLC's, HMI's...etc.

No matter what type of weigh system you have the accuracy and repeatability of the load cells will determine the quality and performance of your product and/or process.  Inaccurate weighing can cause product inconsistency, production failures and even safety hazards.

Next Systems Inc. has an in-house staff of professionals with over 75 years of experience in load cell technology, weighing applications and force measurement technology.  We recognize the importance of a prompt response to our customers’ time sensitive weighing issues.  Your company can feel confident that Next Systems Inc. will prove to be a valuable resource and partner to help solve any of your weighing needs.

Our team of engineers offer unmatched experience in load cells and have an in-depth knowledge into the latest technology and trends in the industry. Our goal is to understand and fill each customer's needs with a precise weighing solution that conforms to our high standards for UTV. UTV stands for utility, technology, and value. Each component of this standard guides our equipment recommendations. U: The equipment must fully meet customer USE requirements. T: our scales and systems must take advantage of appropriate industry TECHNOLOGY standards. V: All equipment provided must reflect true VALUE. This means that our customers purchase the best equipment specifically suited to their needs at the most competitive prices in the marketplace. We insist on the highest standards of corporate integrity. We give our customers accurate expectations. We make good on our promises and commitments. We will never "over-engineer" a scale or system for higher profits. If we "don't know", we will tell you so, and then make sure we "find the answer" promptly.

Single Point Load Cells

Single point load cells are typically offered in capacity ranges from 1 kg up to 1000 kg.  Most commonly found in bench scales these load cells are specifically designed to be used in compression.  They are mounted underneath the center of a platform and can compensate for off-center loads.  Material of construcion is aluminum or stainless steel.

Please fill out the application data form or call one of our application engineers at, +1.413.525.2705.

S-Beam Load Cells

S-beam load cells are offered in capacity ranges from 25 lb. up to 40,000 lb.

Although the cell could be used in tension or compression, it is most often used in tension. You can find these load cells in a variety of applications including in-line tensile testing, suspended hoppers, steelyard rod conversions and crane scales. These load cells are made from aluminum, tool steel, or stainless steel.

Single Ended Beam Load Cells

Single ended shear beam and bending beam load cells are available in capacities from 25 lb. up to 45,000 lb.

With it's low profile, and high performance this load cell is perfect for floor scales, and similar flat platform weighing. They have two holes on one end of the beam that are used to hold the cell in place. On the opposite end there is a load hole that can be loaded in either direction.  They are offered in aluminum, plated steel, and stainless steel.

Double Ended Beam Load Cells

Double ended shear beam load cells pick up where single ended shear beams leave off.  Although they come in capacities as low as 1000 lb., these load cells are most often used in capacity ranges from 10,000 lb. up to 100,000 lb.  When coupeld with a self-checking mounting assembly, double ended shear beams can be used for heavy bins, hoppers, and silos.  They are offered in painted or plated tool steel and stainless steel construction.

Canisters

Used in compression applications such as truck and railroad track scales, this heavy duty load cell design is offered in capacities ranging from 25,000 lb. up to 200,000 lb.

Canister load cells are constructed from painted tool steel or stainless steel, hermetically sealed.

Other Load Cell Types

Pictured here is a Planar Beam load cell and some minature Button Style load cells.  These are just two examples of custom load cell products we have designed in the past.

We excell at custom designing load cells specifically for your unique application.  Just becasue it has not been done before does not mean we can not do it.  We are designing new products all the time and would love to work with you on your unique ideas.
